Gray Monk Winery
The most established winery in the area is Gray Monk Estate Winery, one of the first wineries to plant Pinot Gris in Canada, which was planted back in the 70’s, and quickly became one of the Okanagan’s signature grapes! Visit Gray Monk Winery and learn more.
Arrow Leaf Winery
Arrowleaf Cellars (named after the Arrowleaf wildflower) is a family owned and operated award-winning winery in Lake Country, with a 16-acres property that boasts a bright and airy tasting room for visitors to sample different terroir-driven varietals.
Ex Nihilo Winery
Just down the way from Arrowleaf, is Ex Nihilo winery – Latin for ‘out of nothing’, which was named after a sculpture carved into the Washington National Cathedral. This winery showcases local artists through out the tasting room and has a lovely little bistro called ‘Chaos’ which features artisan pizzas.
Intrigue Winery
Intrigue Wines is an up-and-coming boutique style estate winery, having won quite a few awards up to date. With a price point that fits anyone’s budget, this winery has some amazing red, rose and white wines, often selling out of their ‘Social’ label, as well as their signature ‘I Do’ bubbly.
50th Parallel Winery
50th Parallel Estate is a majestic 61-acre site near the shores of Lake Okanagan, boasting panoramic lake views, rare granite soils, and producing world-renowned Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines. Pinot Noir makes up about 35% of the winery’s production and is the only red wine produced at 50th Parallel. Their other wines include their flagship Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, and a Chardonnay. The winery also cultivates vineyards specifically for a dry Pinot Noir Rosé similar in style to some great wines from Provence.
O’Rourke Peak Cellars
(formally known as ‘The Chase’)
Lake Country’s newest addition to the Scenic Sip Wine Route is O’Rourke Peak Cellars (formally known as ‘The Chase’). The roughly 100-acre estate vineyards produce Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Rosé, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Ancient Hills Winery
Ancient Hills is a family-owned European-style boutique winery, located close to the Kelowna International Airport. Everything from the grapes being grown, to fermentation to bottling is all done on-site. This winery specializes in aromatic wines, that grow best on the property. A wonderful place to host a wedding, the unique architecture gives the feel of being in a castle, showcasing a very scenic view of Kelowna north.
