Uncorked Tours only accepts adults (19 years of age and up) who are out to have fun, taste BC’s best wine and enjoy some of the Okanagan Valley’s greatest wineries. All wine tours include a professional, fun-loving guide who will make sure you have a safe and enjoyable tour.

On our share tours. there will be fellow wine lovers with you which provides you with a great opportunity to make new friends and have fun with others.  As the saying goes ‘here’s to times we may not remember, with friends we’ll never forget’.  We hope you forge that kind of relationship with others onboard.

You will visit 4-5 wineries on your tour. Our selection of wineries varies daily. We will make every attempt to accommodate any special requests – Uncorked Okanagan offers a broad experience, not just the iconic wineries, but also the hidden gems and boutique wineries throughout the Okanagan Valley.

What’s involved in booking a wine tour?

When deciding on a tour, note that our regularly scheduled tours mainly go to West Kelowna and Kelowna wine regions.  Most are full day tours but we have half day tours on certain days. Choose your tour based on occasion or wine trail/region.  Best to select tours closest to where you are staying so you’re not traveling an hour there and then back.  Book your seats, observing minimum number of people on some tours, make your payment and Uncorked takes care of the rest.

We have other tours that are not regularly scheduled and only offered on certain days including Naramata and Summerland.  If you want to travel to these regions on a different day than what is in our system, just give us a call at 250-808-9500.  We work hard to accommodate all requests.

The number of people with you on a tour will be relative to how many seats are available. If you prefer a private tour, please give us a call at 250-808-9500.  Most all of our tours are shared, meaning you will be on the tour with fellow wine lovers that you will get acquainted with throughout the day traveling between the winery locations.  Our vehicles hold 7, 11, and 14 passengers.

Can I book a private tour?

Any tour with a group of 8 or more is guaranteed private.  The tours shown on our website are all shared and our vehicles hold 7, 11, or 14 passengers so you’ll share the fun with fellow wine lovers.

If you have fewer than 8 people in your group and are interest in private tour pricing, please reach out to us at (250) 808-9500 or click on the private tours option in our drop down menu and contact us through email.

What are the tasting sizes?

Tastings are usually 1 oz. of wine per sample with 4 to 5 samples per winery. The winery, not Uncorked Tours, decides the number of tastings and which varietals are offered. It can vary from day to day. Expect a minimum of 16 tastings. Tasting fees are included in every Uncorked Wine Tour but the tips for the wine stewards is not.  Please tip your steward if he/she has gone above & beyond.

What vehicles will we tour in?

We have a fleet of tour vehicles providing a comfortable safe ride for all our guests. The vehicle is assigned based on the size of the group on tour and the destination of the tour.

We have high top Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit vans accommodating 11-14 guests, and premium SUVs for smaller tours under 7 passengers.   FOR LARGER GROUPS, WE HAVE CONTRACTS WITH TRANSPORTATION COMPANIES BASED ON AVAILABILITY.  WE CAN QUOTE RATES UP TO 24 PSGRS BASED SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUR NEEDS

All our vehicles are clean, air conditioned, well-maintained and designed for tour groups. Our entire vehicle fleet is licensed under Passenger Transportation, and fully compliant with Canadian laws, carrying complete insurance coverage.

What is good winery etiquette?

A code of conduct is adhered to at each winery. It’s important to be mindful and respectful of all winery guests in the tasting room. If you’re new to the wine tasting, allow us to provide direction below:.

Do not hesitate to ask questions; your guide and the server at the tasting bar are a wealth of information. If there is a wine you really like, and would like to try another sample, simply ask “may I revisit…”, the server will probably be more than accommodating. You catch more flies with honey that way!

As much as we want you to enjoy a fun day, Uncorked and the wineries, will not tolerate obnoxious intoxication. Our guides are trained to spot any signs that may be exhibited throughout the day. Please know your limit and play within it. We want you to have a memorable fun experience so it is important to remember that there are other paying guests who are out to have a great experience as well!

Is there a dress code?

Please feel free to ask us any dress code questions prior to the day of your tour.

We suggest a smart casual style of clothing for all guests.  Please note some wineries have zero tolerance for crude sayings on clothing or sashes and you may not be allowed in wearing the party gear.

Comfortable foot wear is highly recommended as you will be standing most of the day or perhaps walking on uneven surfaces or gravel.  Try wearing footwear that is not too tight or confining as with the Okanagan heat mixed with alcohol you may get uncomfortable. Comfort is key.

Can we bring our pet along on tour?

Unfortunately, due to the heat in the Okanagan, allergies, and safety for all guests onboard, we are unable to bring your pet on tour.  We recommend two great pet daycare facilities in the Kelowna area called Bark & Fly and Kelowna Pet Resort.  You can find them on Google so please contact the facilities directly.

Can I go on a wine tour if I am solo?

Our motto is: the more, the merrier.  Most all of our tours are shared.  We’d love for you to share a tour with fellow wine lovers.  Please note our booking system does not allow a single person booking so please just give us a call at 250-808-9500.  Once you connect with us we can advise if we have a tour with availability.

Can I bring an infant on a wine tour?

We love children but we want to ensure that all guests on tour have the best experience.  Please contact us directly at 250-808-9500 to discuss options for a private tour.  You’d be surprised how reasonable our private tours are priced, based on the number of people booked.

Do non-drinkers pay for tours?

We welcome non-drinkers on the tour.  Tour rates are reduced by $50.00 per person for full day and $30.00 per person on half day tours.  We will ensure there is non-alcoholic refreshment for the non-drinker, during the group’s tasting, as most all wineries have non-alcoholic refreshments on site.

Is lunch included on a wine tour?

Full day tours all include a lunch stop but please note the cost of lunch is NOT included in the tour cost.  You pay the restaurant directly after lunch.

We make reservations for lunch and allow you 1.5 hours to enjoy your lunch at one of our many favorites.   We make no commission on this and most times your guide will dine with you.

Half day tours specify no lunch stop, so please bring a snack if you need to eat within the 4 hour period of your tour.

Cancellation policy?

15 days or more prior to departure – cancellation fee is $20 per person

14 days or less prior to departure – the tour is 100% nonrefundable.  At this point the tour is non-refundable and non-changeable.

What wineries/breweries do you go to?

Each tour description displays the wineries/venues we visit.  Most all of our tours are shared so we can consider personal requests but give no guarantees.  If you’d like to go to specific wineries, please give us a call at 250-808-9500 and we can discuss options.
